The Wood elves are creatures of habit and for any one of them to attempt to resist learning the art of Archery is unheard of. For they belived that a ranged attack is the best way to put the fight in your advantage. To strike without being seen is what their most beloved skill of Archery was all about. Thus Valandil Annare crafted for his nephew the most powerful of short bows. The kind of bow you only ever heard about in stories or dreamed about. But due to the task these adventurer's were up to was that which was in need of such a weapon. Valandil spent 10 yrs crafting this bow, and it was worth every minute of it. The bow was crafted out of the most durable, and flexible wood found in the forrest of shadows. And unlike many other shortbows found amonst the tribe of wood elves this bow was not a common shortbow. Sia Mol which translates into True sight, was a recurve bow. Recurve bows produced a slight bit more power and range then a normal Short bow.
Just as the previous weapon crafters Valandil searched long and hard through his scrolls and books to find the best enchantment to enscribe onto the bow. The bow was covered in a black paint and in the paint was scribed in elven language (translated) "To the good who pulls my string True sight shall be given". And this was the enchantment that no Bow, Long or short, Has ever had bestowed upon it. This was an anchient spell that no elf has ever found a task suitable enough for.
